When HEnry died on his death bed Edward became the King of England. then next in line for the throne was Mary and then the lady after Mary was Elizabeth.

Edward died of tuberculosis and even though Mary was in line next for the throne the proclaimed Jane Grey, Edward's cousin the Queen of England for nine days.
