in 1876, the soiux had held a sun dance, while sitting bull had a visin of soldiers and some native Americans falling from there horses. when Custer arrived the native americans were ready for them.

in 1887, congress passed the dawes act aimig to americanize the native ameicans. the act broke up the resevatin and gave some of the reservation to individual natives.

in the 1890's, the seventh calvary ronded up abot 350 starving soiux and took them to a camp at wounded knee in south Dakota. a shot was fired and the American armyopened up on the native americans.
