  • The Geneva Accords

    In theory the Geneva Accords of July 1954 allowed North and South Vietnam to exist for two years as temporary transitional states- allowing civillians to cross over freely. however both South and North Vietnam had already begun to develop separate Government views. North eyeing Communism and the South wanting demorcracy. As this separate development progressed, the divisions between North and South Vietnam widened.

  • Start of the Vietnam War

    Due to the fear of Communism being spread throughout Southeast Asia the United States helped the Republic of Vietnam(ROV). Sending Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) to the South.
