    Industrial Revolution

    The Industrial Revolution started sometime in 1760. It went on from then to somewhere between 1820-1840. The Industrail Revolution replaced hand work with machines. It also started new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes, improved water efficiency, increased the use of steam power, and the development of steam tools. Almost everything inn everyday life was impacted by this, and the American economy grew.

    The Declaration of Independance was officially signed on July 4, 1776. That event is important to U.S. History because without it we wouldn't hav gained independance from Great Brittan, and we woudln't be the nation we are today.

    The U.S. Constitution was signed september 17, 1787. The U.S, Constitution is the law of the United States of America. The Constitution is important to U.S. history because America wouldn't be the same if we had any other form of government, and the Constitution makes sure our rights as U.S. citizens are protected.

    CA. Gold Rush

    The gold rush started in 1848 when James W. Marshall found gold at Sutter's Mill in Coloma, California. After the News got out a total of 300,000 people rushed to California. About half of those people went by sea, but they were all after one thing; gold. As a result of all of the people coming to California, California became an American state in 1850.

    The Gettysburg Address was a speach given by President Lincoln and is one of the most well know speeches in American History. Lincoln gave the speech durring the Civil War on Novermber 19, 1863. The speech was given at the Soldiers" National Cemetary in Gettysburg PA. The Gettysburg Address is important to U.S. History because it is one of the most famous speeches in our American History.

    Immigrants to Ellis Island

    Many immigrants coming to the United States during 1892- 1954 can be traced back to Ellis Island. Ellis island was an immigration station. People working there would give immigrants physical examinaions to make sure they were not sick before letting them in to the U.S. If they passed the examinations they were admitted into the U.S.

    The flat Iron building is located at 175 Fifth Avenue in the borough of Manhattan, New York City, It was built in 1902, and was considered a groung breaking skyscraper. It was the tallest skyscraper at the time, and has become a symbol of New York City.

    World War II started in 1939 and lasted until 1945 (exactly 6 years and 1 day.) The war involved many of the world's nations. The war is important to U.S. History (and the history of many other countries) because it was the most wide spread war in history, that involved more than 100 million people from about 30 different countries.

    The Civil Rights Act outlawed any form of discrimination against U.S. citizens. This is important to U.S. history, because it changed the way many people think. Due to that American citezens all have equal rights.

    Eruption of Mt. St. Helens
    Mt. St. Helens erupted May 18, 1980. The volcano blew its own top which created a crater on its North side. The eruption caused tons of damage. It killed both people and game animals, and reduced hundreds of square miles to wasteland. The eruption is important to U.S. History, beacuse it was the only significant eruption to occur in the United States since the 1915 eruption of Lassen Peak.

    I was born in Ephrata, P.A. on March 20, 20001. The event is important to U.S. History because I'm the daughter of Russian imigrants that came to America for religeous freedom durring the fall of the soviet union. This is important because it shows that America is the land of the free, and of oportunity.
    Today as an 8th grader some of my inteests are art, music, and soccer.

The attacks were launched in New York, and Washington, D.C., metropolitan area that day. This event is important to U.S. history because after that event the U.S. went to war with Afganistan.
