In the heat of the american revolution, David Bushnell made the first Submarine to destroy british ships and to be able to be under water for an extend period of time. -
First cotton gin
In 1793 Eli whitney creates the first ever cotton gin. Which spins raw cotton into threads for clothes. -

In 1794 Eli whitney gets the patient, but as more of the cotton gins are sold, more slaves are needed to work them. The invention was needed beacause it cotton was needed for clothes and fabrics, but it could not be made fast enough. Until the cotton gin was made. -
First telegraph line
In 1844 Samuel F.B. Morse built a cable which reached Washington DC from Baltimore. The Telegraph was a new way to commuinicate through small electric waves going through wire. This invention was needed to commuincate easly over long distances and not have to wait a period of time till you get the message. -

In 1851 Samuel morse made the Western Union Telegraph Company. Soon enough, they were able to send telegraphs from New York to San Francisco. And USA to Europe. -

Barnes of Lowell patient the for the first machine gun, which was used to spary down hoardes of units / shoot a lot of bullets, this was needed to mow down the enemys. -

The modern machine gun
Captain D. R. Willaims built the first modern machine gun. it was a 1 barrel 65 shots per minute, but it was drawn by horse. The first battle it was used in was Battle of seven pines/ bare oaks on May 3 1862. It was a huge success. -
