    After Texas leaves to become it's own country it join the USA after some financial troubles, upsetting Mexico so it attacks Texas and kills some soldiers which angers the American government. So it declares war on Mexico, when America wins the took some of Mexico northen properties.
    (California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, most of Arizona and Colorado, and parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming)

    Kanas was going to be the 34th state and it being above the Missouri Compromise would have made it a free state, but most of the government at the time weren't for that. So they deicide to let it vote, but thousand off people moved to Kanas to vote. Soon after pro-slave and anti-slave peoples began to fight each other killing to remove even one vote from the opposing side and this time period became known as Bloody Kanas More Info
