    Columbus Lands in the Carribean
    Christopher Columbus tried to go to Asia but ended up in the Caribbean Islands. He found new land so that people could colonize.
  • Jamestown Founded in 1607

    Jamestown Founded in 1607
    Jamestown was founded in the New World. This is important because if it never happened the United States would never be the same and would never have made the New World popular.
  • Pilgrims Land in Plymouth

    Pilgrims Land in Plymouth
    This is when the pilgrims landed in Plymouth. If this never happened, the US as a whole would quite literally never be the same.
  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    This war was fought by the French and British. If this never happened, the US's land would never be as big as it is right now.

    This was the Albany plan of Union where Benjamin Franklin tried to round up all the colonies to "Fight or Die", but the colonies rejected. This is important because if this never happened, who would have really known who Benjamin Franklin was and his significance to the United States.

    This is when the French surrendered to the British. This is important because they never surrendered to the British then who knows who would have won that war in the end.

    This was when the British Government told the colonists they couldn't settle west of the Appalachian Mountains but the colonists ignored. This is important because if this never happened the relationship between the British Government could have been better.

    This was when the British Government committed tyranny when they required the 13 Colonies to stamp every piece of paper used. This is important because if the British Government never enforced this law, the protests in Boston and other places could have been prevented.

    The Quartering Act was when the Colonies had to provide shelter and resources to the British Soldiers. This is important because this law resulted in many deadly riots on the soldiers.

    The Townshend Act was when the British enforced taxes on mostly everything. This is important because if this was never enforced the relationship of the Colonies and the British could have been not toxic.

    The Boston Massacre was when many people ganged up on the British Soldiers and rioted. This is important because it affected the relationship with Britain forever.

    The Tea Act was when the British Government lowered the prices of tea so the colonists would buy them. This is important because it partly sparked the American Revolution because the colonists refused to buy taxed tea.

    This was when a protest broke out in Boston that kept the British ships full of tea from docking on land but when they did some people snuck on the ships and destroyed the tea. This is important because it made Britain very aggravated therefore was another reason the American Revolution broke out.

    These were four laws that the Colonists could not stand which were: Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act, which were very tyrannized laws which enraged the colonists and this is important because if these laws weren't passed then the American revolution could have been prevented.

    The First Continental Congress was when one representative from every colony except one met up to discuss America's future. This is important because the Colonies could not all be on the same page and could not all agree with each other and if they had never met up, they could all disagree on topics and could turn against each other.

    This was when the British went to Lexington on the way to Concord to get guns but were fired at instead and had to take cover. This is important because it started the American Revolution.

    This was when the British tried to secure Concord's north bridge but failed and retreated all the way back to Boston. This is important because it showed the British that the Colonists had at least a small amount of power.

    This was when one representative from every colony met up again to discuss what their plan of action would be against the British. This is important because if they didn't know what they were doing agains the British then they would not work together good and therefor they could possibly lose the American Revolution.

    The American Revolution was arguably one of America's biggest wars ever. This is important because this made the British realize we had more power and this made them not mess with us after.

    The Olive Branch Petition was an attempt to prevent the war and sign a treaty so no more people die. This is important because the war revolved around the king's unfairness and if he agreed to the Petition then the whole war could have turned out very differently.

    Common Sense by Thomas Paine was when Thomas Paine wrote a letter to the British advocating independence from the British. This is important because if the British agreed then the whole war could have been prevented if they never rejected this.

    This was a document where the Patriots signed a document to declare their freedom from Great Britain. This is significant be because if this declared us not as a part of Britain and if this didn't happen we could still be considered British.

    This was when many courthouses in Massachusetts were mass attacked. This is important because it was a stand against unfairness.

    This ratification made a stronger government for the U.S. This is important because this ratification made the U.S. government to what it is today.

    The Whiskey Rebellion was a rebellion against tax on everyday items. This is important because if this never happened, George Washington would never tell them what the tax was.
  • XYZ Affair

    XYZ Affair
    The XYZ Affair is when the U.S. betrayed their treaty with France and signed a treaty with Britain while France is fuming. This is important because this made things much more difficult and even resulted in a war.

    War of 1812
    The war of 1812 was a war fought between the United States and Great Britain over interference of trade, impressment us United States men and sailors, and the British not following their promise. The War of 1812 is important because this helped the United States continue with trade, and also realized that we could both be friends.
