Battle of Bunker Hill
Battle of Bunker Hill was a very important war because this was when the US thought they might have a chance of maybe winning the Revolutionary War. Even though the US didn't win that battle,they injured many soldiers from Great Britian. In this battle they never gave up. -
Revolutionary War ends
The Revolutionary was very important because it made us a seperate country from Britian. It was also an important war because many people died for our country and we had many important battles and events that happend during the war. People did as much as they could to get their own freedom. -
Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was a document that stated that we declared our independence from Great Britian. Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, and etc signed it. It also ment liberty and freedom and to have our own rights. They made the draft and signed it earlier before the war ended and they knew it was a risk. From this day foward we have kept the Declaration of Independence is kept safe with us. -
Louisiana Purchase
The USA purchased this land from France. It measured two million squared miles!! President Jefferson sent 2 explorers to explore the new land and describe it. On the way they found a woman named Sacajawea. She helped lead the way. They got back and told everything and everybody what they saw, -
Civil War
The Civil War was a war against the North and South part of the US. This battle was about having slavery. This war was terrible because families were fighting aganist each other. Many people died in this war. Some of the problems were that when a battle happened they were destroying each oher land and that cost money. So if the North one a battle that was in the south and they won the war that would mean they would have to pay for all the damage. The South surrender and the end and North won. -
The Great Depression
The Great Deprssion was horrible. In the Great Depression stock markets were falling and falling and falling intill they couldn't pay money to anyone. People started losing jobs and homes. Finally almost everyone had no home or job. Many people starved to death. President Roosevelt tried to keep the Nation alive. Luckily we sovled our problems and now we are fine now. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
The attack on Pearl Harbor was big surprise! The Japanese attack Pearl Harbor, Hawaii which has many navy bases there. People were having a regular day and BOOM! I bomb landed on the navy base. People weren't ready for this and that ment many people were going to die, and many did. The Japanese kept shooting bombs and destroying everything in its path. Many were killed and injured, but we never gave up. -
Assassination of John F. Kennedy
The assassination of JFK took place in Dallas Texas. He was visting and people were so exicted to see him. While he was parading around downtown Lee Oswald shot him in the back the head. JFK was dead just like that. Many people were very depressed when he died. JFK was very important in the US history. In his honor they named an international airport after him in NY. -
Persian Gulf War
The Persian War was US against Iraq. This war started by the bombardment of Iraq against US. It's main reason was because Iraq had invaded Kuwait. The US wanted to help Kuwait becasue of the Economic sanctions. After the war around 36 billion dollars to 60 billion dollars were payed by another ally Saudi Arabia. -
9/11
9/11 was sad and shocking for many Americans. 9/11 was a terrorist attack in New York City. The first airplane crashed in one of the Twin Towers. Many people thought it was an accident at first but a second airplane crashed the other Twin Tower. Many people died of trying to help people get of the towers. Some died in the tower and other died helping them. We will never forget this moment and we will rememeber the people who helped us all and the Towers.
