    The Great Awakening
    The Great Awakening was an unorganized but widespred movement of evanglical christian sermens and meetings. It took place from Georgia to New England, it changed religious as well as social and political life in the colonies. This was important because it was a major impact on most colonies and tought them the importantance of wars and fights.
  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    The cause to the French and Indian war was that the colonial goverments reglected the Albany Plan of Union. What happend during this event was insted of getting closer as a colony they grw apart. The wayu the colonist reacted was that there lack of unity was a dangerous weakness. This event was important because it led them to come together. This led to Britian gaining all French and Canadian land east of the Mississippi River, also Flordia.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    What caused the Proclmation of 1763 was the rebelion caused great concern in british government- leaders feeered more fighting. During this event people didnt follow the rules because they had differnt ideas and differnt ways of doing there day. The colonist reactions were some followed it others didnt. This event was important becauseit showed the colonist and the british officals hade differnt ideas and way of doing differnt things. This led to some colonist leaving and others staying.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    After the French and Indian war the britians had a wall of army men protecting there land, this led to them having to pay so the raised taxes on tea. This led to the Tea Act. During this event was colonist stopped paying for tea and other goods and started smuggling them. The colonist acted in a way that others would never do they started stealing and smuggling goods. This was important because it taught them not everything is going to come easy. This led to people getting put in jail.
  • Stamp Act

    The colonist failed to suggest ideas for paper products so the goverment passes the Stamp Act. During this event affected most colonist because they had to pay for all there paper products. The colonist didnt think this was a fair chose. This was important because the it showed how valueble paper products are. What this led to was the colonist started to protest aginst it.
  • Townshend Act

    What happend during the Townshend Act was the government placed duties on imported gass, led, paints, paper, and tea. They did this so only wealthy men and women could get the product. During this event it took power away from courts and gave it to the royal leaders. the colonist thought this was unfair. This was important because it showed who and who didnt have athourty.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The threat aginst the colonist by the british troops led to the Boston Massacre. What happend during this event was the british troops and the colonist didnt like each other and they had conflict. The way the colonist acted was some fought in with the others and the others stood back and wached. What this led to was not actually being a massacre there was only five people killed.
  • Tea Act

    What caused the Tea Act was the congress wanted to reduce tenison in the colonies. What happend during this event was colonist were summgling sevral pounds of tea each year. The colonist reacted buy not stopping. This was important because it pointed out they needed to lower taxes. This led to them lowering taxes and the colonist being happy.
  • Boston Tea Party

    What caused the Boston Tea Party was one person ordered for the ship of tea to be unloaded and another leader wanted to leave without it having to be unloaded. During this event one night some colonist sunck onto the ship and dumped 9000 pounds of tea in to the Boston Harber. The way the colonist acted was they were punished. This was important because it led up to many other event that were very very important.
  • Intolerable Acts

    What caused this event was when the colonist dumped the tea into the harbor. What happend during this event was the harbor was closed untill they payed off all the money. The colonist reactions were some wrote books or pamplits and plays about the governments actions. What this led to was they got together and chose on a way to defiete the governments actions aginast them.
  • Battle of Lexington/ Concord

    Battle of Lexington/ Concord
    The british caused troubles witch led t the Battle of Lexington. What happend during this event was millions of people died and some were taken to work. How the colonist acted was they were shocked and scared they tryed to run and hide. This was important because it taught them a lession. This led to them comming to an agreement.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    What caused the Battle of Bunker Hill was there were people still upset because of the Battle of Lexington. What happend during this event was there were several assults and the rest of the colonist retreated. The colonist were held under sierge. What this led to was them coming to a concution that they com overcome others powers.

    What caused Common Sense was perople were upset and there were to many people getting put in jail. What happend was more than 12000 copies were bought. The way the colonist reacted was they loved it and kept buying the book. This led to people coming to a idea that they need to change there ways.
  • Decolaration of Independence

    What caused the Declaration of Independence was the goveernment desided they needed to make new laws and set them straight because they couldnt deside what laws. What happend during this event was some people followed it others didnt. The colonist reacted in shock.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    What led up to the Battle of Saratoga was the badly outnumbered troops of Burgoynes got attacted by the paritos. What happend during this event was they suffered major damage to them. The colonist surrendured. This was important because They learned that they need to have a stronger military. They marked the greatest victory up to that point for the American forces.
  • Battle of Yorktwon

    Battle of Yorktwon
    What led up to the Battle of Yorktown was they were low on money. What happend during this event was moral droped further when one of there most distingushed leaders went to the british. The colonist they were angry and mad. What this led to was they eventualy got victory.
