Many people came west to "strike it rich" and make millions but they weren't the ones with all the money. The marketers were the ones making money because the pepole that got gold sold it to them.

    Uncle Tom's Cabin was a book that Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote out of anger from how slaves were being treated. The book inspired some slaves to run and made plantation owners furious. That book started the slave rebellion and lit the fuse to the Civil War.

    Bleeding Kansas was an area in Kansas that at once had a mini Civiil War and started some abolisionists movements. John Brown's men survive the Civil War in Kansas except for five and yet America moved on and now we are all good.

    John Brown was an abolitionishists that tried to take over the arsenal called Harper's Ferry. John along with 18 other men decided to raid the arsenal and succeeded untill reenforcements came. Brown along with 10 other men were capured and 6 men were killed. Brown was later executed for murder and treason.

    Abraham Lincoln had a plan to get supplies to Fort Sumter but he risked starting a war. He sent out the supplies but the Confederates interrupted the supplies and attacked the fort before the supplies came. The Confederates took over the fort and that was the end of Fort Sumter.

    Linda Brown was a nine year old girl that had to walk across town just to go to school. So her dad and the NAACP decided to sue so she could go to a school that is closer to her home. In the great battle of The Supreme Court Case: Brown v The Board of Education the browns won and segregation became illegal. But it soon became hard to enforce the law that segregation was banned.

    In the Miracle on Ice, Herb Brooks forms a hockey team to play for the USA in the 1980 Olympics. Herb had his hockey team ready after short consideration. The team practiced very hard and were ready for the big rematch against the Soviets. Team USA ended up winning the rematch and won the finals game against Finland and won the gold medal.
