  • The boston massacre

    A shooting that was caused by people harassing one another and that made the soldiers feel as though they were gonna get attacked so they killed five people. That is my summary of the boston massacre.
  • Revolutionary War

    There were 13 colonies fighting the british to gain independence. There were an estimated 70,000 deaths.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The declaratio of independence was when thomas jefferson got chose to make a declaration so we could have freedom against britian and make our own government.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Louisiana Purchase
    The louisiana purchase was the purchase when Napolean was running out of money in europe so he sold all of louisiana to Andrew Jackson, who then gave responsibility to Lewis and Clark to discover the new plants and animals and make maps for the later pioneers. (Pages 344-346. McDougal Littell.)

    The Lewis and Clark journey was a adventure where Lewis and Clark went to discover their newly bought land of louisiana. And there they found many new plants and animals to science.   • The Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears
    The trail of tears was the act of when the U.S. wanted to take the land away from the indians so that we could have more land, and the Indians did many things to try and stop this, fought back, they said they would leave peacefully, they hid, and they even went to court in which they won but Andrew Jackson over ruled the supreme court after the indians won, so they had to leave.     The gold rush was a time period where people found out where a lot of gold was so they went there to get the gold so that the could give their families a better life style, but because of all of the money that everyone earned it caused inflation so all of the prices inside of store or resturants, skyrocketed.   • Fugitive Slave Act

    Fugitive Slave Act
    It was a law that accused fugitive could be held without an arrest warrant. They had no right to a jury trial. It required them to go catch runaway slaves. It also punished people who did not obey the laws.
  • Harpers Ferry

    Harpers Ferry
    This was the day when Brown and 18 followers went and tried to take over Harpers Ferry, but they did not succed when 10 of their men died and then 7 were captured including brown. So they did not succed and they were in a load of trouble.
  • The attack on fort sumter

    Fort sumter is a federal fort pon an island in charleston's harbor. At first both the southereners and the northerners thought it was gonna be fast war but then they realized it was gonna be long and difficult.. After 34 hours of shelling, Anderson surrended. No one was killed defending the fort, but the attack on fort sumter marked the begining of the civil war.
  • I had a dream speech

    On august 28, 1963, in which Martin Luther King Jr. calls the end of slavery, He delivered the powerfully moving "I have a dream speech" to over 250,000 civil rights supporters. You can visit were he delivered at the steps of the liconln memorial.
  • Space shuttle challanger disaster

    The challanger disaster was when a shuttle broke apart after 73 seconds of flight. It disintegrated over the atlantic off the coast of cape canaveral. Causing 7 deaths, 5 Astronaughts and 2 payload specialists.
  • Apollo 11

    Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in 1969 June 20-21 were the first people that went on the moon. When they landed they put the american flag on the moon. Neil armstrong said " small step for man giant leap for mankind".
  • Death of Elvis

    In 1956-1958 Elvis dominated the charts and opened the door for other musicians. By mid 1970's elvis was declning physical and mental health. He devorced in 1973. He had a heart attack due to addiction to prescripion drugs and was pronouned dead. 1935 - 1977.
  • September 11, 2001 / 911

    A group of terrorists called al qaeda hijacked four commercial airliners and flew two of them into the twin towers which made them fal killing around 200 people.

  • The supreme court v the board of education

    Brown v the board of education is about a 7 year old girl that didnt want to travel across townto get to school so she went to court and won so now segragation is illegal.
