Thomas Jeffersoon wrote the Decloration of Indipendance and because of it the country became independant. The Decloration had written on it most of the reasons why they do not want to be with the Brittish and how independent they could be without the British rule/government. -
Death of George Washington
George washington died on Dec 14 1799 due to multiple blisters in his throught. This caused him to suffacate slowly day by day until he passed away. -

At Fort Sumter there supplies were running low so Abe Licoln decided to have supply ships sent to the Fort. The confederet heard this and attacked them. LIcoln responded by sending 75,000 militamen for 90days. This saved them. -

On October 2 the Texas war for indipendence was started because Mexico thought that there were too many American imagrants entering texas. As the Amercan citizens got angry the Mexican government sent about 100 men to stop them. And so the Americans fought back untill they won over the land. -
Trail of Tears
The trail of tears was the path that the Cherokee walked when they "lost" there fight witht President Jackson. It was long and brought much death upon the tribe. -
Donner Party
The donner party was a group of settalers that ended up taking a "shortcut" that caused them to stay in the mountains for the entire winter. As they ran out of food they had no choice but to convert to canibalism. -

The gold rush took place in 1848. This brought many people around the continent to journey to californa in hopes of a fortune. -

The Mexican American war took place febuery 2 1848. This war was a tremendas victory for Americans because in the end we gaind what is now known as Californa, Utah, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. -
Uncle Tom's Cabin
Uncle Tom's Cabin was a story writen by Harriet Beecher Stowe. This story brought a whole new perspective about slavery to the North. This book likely was the cause of the civil war due to it's strong impact and capability to change people's opinions and become abolishionists. -

Suprem court case: Brown VS The board of Education.
Thurgood Marshil became a suprem cout justice and helped in many segragation cases. One of his most famus cases was Brown VS the Board of Education. He helped a black family win justice so that there little girl could go to a white school that is closer to her house. -

On August 16th 1977 Elvis Presley had a heart attack do to an over dose of perscription drugs. -
Terrorists attack the world trade center
On September 11 2001 terrorists hijacked multiple planes and targeted several areas in New York. The pentagon, as well as the world trade center were the biggest. The group was lead by a man named Osama Bin Laden who was later shot and killed. -

Osama Bin Laden was a big threat to all countries, but the biggest to America after the 9 11 isident. He was found and killed on May 2nd 2011 during the raid of a house.
