In 1831 the indian tribes were forced to move West. As part of Andrew Jackson's Indian Removal Act. The Cherokee tribe was forced to give up their land east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day California. -

The Alamo is a place where the Texans fought the Mexicans for land. The Mexicans wanted the land back due to freedom. Mexicans were a tough army but we stuck together and claimed Texas land in 18 minutes, after a few feuds. -

The Surpreme Court Case, was an event that involved segregation rulings in school. It helped allow colored students get a better education. -

Elvis Presley, a famous icon in the music business died of a heart attack in his own home while in the bathroom. Many people were sad to find out about this because he was someone to look up to. -

September 11, 2001, was a tragic day in U.S. history that invlolved lots of people getting killed or badly injured. It also showed the U.S. that we are vulnerable to anything outside of the country. -
