  • Proclamation of 1763

    This proclamation did not allow colonist to settle west of the Appalachian mountain the british goverment feared the conflict between colonist and Native American would lead to another war. they also could not afford to pay british troops to defend the western lands. Colonist were enranged by this proclamation because they felt they had won the right to settle in the ohio River Valley after winning the french and Indian War.

  • stamp act

    In 1765 parliament passed the stamp act. this law reqiured all legal and commercal document to carry an offical stamp showing that a tax has been paid
  • Town shed act

    The first townshed act suspended new york assembly until new yorks agree to provide housing for the troops
  • tea act

    On December 16,1773 a group of men disgused as native american boardered three tea ships docked in boston harbor. One of the men, george hews, a boston shoe maker, later recalled the events.
  • Intolerable act

    in 1774 parliament passed a series of law to punish the massachusett colony and serve as a warningother colonies. the british called these laws the coercive act but they were so hard that the colonist called them the intorable act.
  • Battle of lexington

    British troops fight miliament (theywere trained to act at a minute) at concord and are forced to retreat lexington and concored are the first battles of the revolutionary war. loyalist and those who support the british. patroit are those who support the rebels.
  • olive branch patition

    militiamen seiced bunker hil and breed hill in june 1775. british suffer over 1,000 casualities but win battle of bunker hill america however gained moral victory.
