Oliver Brown sued a white elementary school and it went all the way to the Supreme court. The court deemed the segregating schools was unconstitutional.

Since Georgia supported "massive resistance" and didn't integrate schools, Georgias Governor created a committee to find out the public opinion about integration in public schools. Led by Atl. attorney John Sibley.
