    The Judiciary Act of 1789
    This act created the judical branch in the United States of America. It was signed by President George Washington. This act established the supreme court. The Judiciary Act of 1789 is very important because it finally gave America a place where laws could be interpreted and defined.

    The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments that were added to the constitution of the United States of America. It established freedom of religion, press, and speech. They were created so that the doubting nations would ratify the constitution. The Bill of Rights is one of the most important documents in American history.

    The Louisiana Purchase was the $15 million dollar purchase of the United States of Americs. They purchased it from Napoleon. It more than doubled the size of the United States. The land that was purchased was later explored by Lewis and Clark on their expedition.

    The War of 1812 was a war fought between the United States of America and Great Britain. It lasted from June 18, 1812- March 23,1815. This war was fought because of serious of sanctions taken by Britain against the Americans
  • The Missouri Compromise

    The Missouri Compromise
    The Missouri Compromise was a compromise by congress allowing for Missouri to be admitted as a slave state but that all states above the created line would be free states. This compromise directly divided the north and south of America; making one part pro-slavery and the other anti-slavery.
  • The Monroe Doctrine

    The Monroe Doctrine
    The Monroe Doctrine was a speech given by President Monroe, written by John Quincy Adams. It stated that any foreign nation that comes to America's side of the hemisphere is declaring war on America. They were backed by Britain. This speech became the foreign policy of the United States.
