    A war between Great Britain and France in North America from 1754 to 1763. In 1756, it turned into the 7 years war.

    King of France and King of Navarre and was later found as guilty of use of High treason. The only King of France to ever be executed.

    Marie was the Archduchess of Austria and the Queen of France and of Navarre. She was 1 of 15 kids of Maria Theresa and gav the thrown up as she died.

    A former wig maker, Richard Arkwright and John Kay built this machine after one was impressed with the others work.

    This was the first type of steam engine used steam above atmosphere pressure to improve drive.This improved on the previous 1712 design and was a new step in manufacturing.

    James Hargreaves in 1764 invented the Spinning Jenny which was an improvement upon the spinning wheel.

    This event was the fall of the French jail in the center of Paris falling.

    Saint- Domingue having conflict resulting in the end of slavery and founding of Haiti.
  • Whitneys Cotton Gin

    A pioneer in Cotton production and the inventor of the Cotton Gin was Eli Whitney. This invention made removing seeds many times faster and easier.

    Invented by Claude Chappe, it greatly improved communication all around and has led to inventions such as the telephone.

    Originally entitled "An Act for the Abolition of the Slave Trade", this was Britian abolishing not slavery, but just the trading of slaves.

    Fought in present day Belgium, The French army was defeted by the Seventh Coalition, an Anglo Army.
  • Mexican Independence

    The war lasting from 1810 to 1821 resulted Mexico finally gaining their independence from Spain.
  • Brazilian Independence

    Celebrated on September 7th, the Brazilian Independence war consisted of disputes between Brazil and Portugul, resulting in a Brazil Victory.
  • Dissolution of the Janissaries

    Many deaths in Constantinople and over 4000 fatalities were the results of this fight. The leader took their possessions and the people fled.

    Afrikaners Great Trek

    A migration of people away from British Control in Cape Colony. The Great Trek led to the founding of numerous Boer republics, the Natalia Republic, the Orange Free State Republic and the Transvaal which were the most known.

    War fought allied with European Powers against the Ottoman Empire and succeeded after a 9 year war lasting from 1821-1830. The result was Greek being recognized as independent in May of 1832

    A new organization was made to abolish all. It's name was the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society which continues today as Anti-Slavery International.

    War fought between the Russian Empire and an alliance of the French Empire, the British Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and the Kingdom of Sardinia. Mainly over everyone wanting terretorial ruling over the declining Ottoman Empire.

    Fought over trade disputes between China the Qing dynasty and the British Empire.
  • Britian takes over India

    India was becoming resourceful and Britian needed raw goods and materials and Britian recieved a great economic boost after aquiring India.

    Also known as the Indian Rebellion of 1857, was a group of Sepoys that gave a major threat to the power in the region attacked. Stopped due to the fall of Gwailor.
  • Emancipation of the Russian Serfs

    Alexander the 2nd gave "freed" the serfs. They were actually not free because they were given land, yet repaying for that land took about 50 years.
  • Meiji Restoration

    A series of events that in the end led to Imperial rule being re-established in Japan. Drastic changes came politicolly and to their social structure.
  • Suez Canal

    The Suez Canal opened after 10 years of construction work, and allowed water navigation between Europe and Asia without going all the way around Africa.

    This was a rebellion in China opposing Imperialism and Christianity. This happened due to the many foreign affairs China was becoming apart of.

    First finished in 1902, the Aswan Dam led to the government being able to control flood water, and how much hydroelectric power was produced.
  • Panama Canal

    Rising from 1000 to about 14000 vessels going through, the Panama Canal is very important for maritime trading.
  • Overthrow of Qing Dynasty

    In the early 20th century, things had begun to go wrong. On October 10 of 1911, the Republic of China was established and set as the new country in that are replacing the great Qing Dynasty.
  • African National Congress founded

    South Africas politicol party who is helped by its tripartite alliance with the Congress of South African Trade Unions and the South African Communist Party. It was made in 1912 to increase the rights of blacks.
  • Revolutions of 1848

    Located in the Habsburg area, ruled from Vienna, included Austrian Germans, Hungarians, Slovenes, Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Ruthenians, Romanians, Croats, Italians, and Serbs, who all tried to revolt at the same time.
