    The Industrial Revolution was a large time span that spread out through the late 1700's to early 1900's. This pushed froward inovation. Through this time many inventions were created that made America have more advanced technology. This was important because without it we would be back in the Stone Age.

    The Date the Continental Congress Offically Signed the Declaration of Independence
    Fifty-six delegates to the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia signed the United States Declaration of Independence, a statement announcing that the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain were now independent states, and thus no longer part of the British Empire. Although the wording of the Declaration was approved by Congress on July 4, the date of its signing has been disputed. This is influential because its telling Britian we want seperation and our own government.

    The Official Signing of the Constitution
    On May 25, 1787, delegates representing every state except Rhode Island met at Independence Hall for the Constitutional Convention. The assembly promptly scraped the idea of amending the Articles of Confederation and set up a new plan of government. George Washington was elected president of the convetion. This was important becsause it gave us a more functional government for the people and by the people. It gets its power from the people too.

    Indian Removal Act is signed
    The act gave him the power to oversee the removal of the Native Americans to federal territory west of the Mississippi River so we could take their land. This territory is now known as Oklahoma. The act was supported by non-native people of the South, who were eager to gain access to lands inhabited by the Five Civilized Tribes. Christian missionaries protested against its passage. This was important is because it gave us more land.

    World War II

    World War II was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945. It involved the vast majority of the world's nations including all of the great powers eventually forming two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. It was the most widespread war in history, with more than 100 million people, from more than 30 different countries, serving in the military. This was important because it some of it pulled us out of The Great Depression. Also it gave us better weaponry to protect ourselves.

    March on Washington / "I Have a Dream" Speech
    "I Have a Dream" is a public speech delivered by American civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. on August 28, 1963, in which he called for an end to racism in the United States. Delivered to over 250,000 civil rights supporters from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington, the speech was a defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement. This is influential because it gave black people there rights. This pushed forward a civil rights movement.
  • Apollo 11 Landed on the Moon

    Apollo 11 Landed on the Moon
    Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first humans on the Moon, Americans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, on July 20, 1969, at 20:18 UTC. Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface six hours later on July 21 at 02:56 UTC. This is influential because it opened up a whole new world of possibilities to the human race. This would then help create new tools to help out in society on Earth. It also allowed us to look beyond our atmosphere and into the stars.

    The hijakers of the planes hit The World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and one was targeted fo Washington D.C. The Al-Quedas were quickly were suspected. There leader Osama Bin-Laden hid for 12 years. This was influential because it brought Americans together.
