  • Land act of 1800

    Congress passed the land act. This law made it easier for people to buy land at the time. (page 181)

    John adams used the Judiciary act in 1801 to make hundreds of appointments during his last days as president.( page 270)

    Pirates took over the U.S. warship in Philadelphia.(page 279)
  • Fulton steamboat

    In 1807 Robert Fulton lauched his steam boat called the Clernont. He was hired in 1802 to bulid the steamboat by Robert Livingston.(11,2,2)
  • Battle of Tippecanoe

    Harriosn attcked the town called Prophetstown while Tecumsech was expanding the confederacy. The battle lasted 2 hours.( page 282)

    A group of Seminole attacked the U.S. troops. They were led by Major Francis Dade and this battle is know as the Dade Massacre.(12,2,4)
