    Containment- The way we tried to contain communism by limiting the spread across countries. Significant because it was the only non violent defense we had.
    Arms Race/Space Race - our competition with the USSR
    The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics - USSR
    Communism - political ideology where goods are distributed equally. This was what the USA feared most.
    Domino Theory - this is what we feared about the spread of communism, that it would fall across the globe like dominos.
