Henry Ford introduced the production line to car manufacturing. Only the rich could afford cars. Once the technique had been running for several years, it became so cheap to own a car that the average American person could buy a car within 4 months’ salary. Cars became cheaper.

Woodrow Wilson campaigned for a peaceful end to the war. He appealed to both sides to try to settle the war by diplomatic means but was unsuccessful.
