    In 1970's there were a Spring/ Summer increase to places less know to Britain and also short stays in the Winter and Autumn time because flights were offered to customer from all over to. The prices of flights were £32.50 each and also with a package which was including everything it helped customers more which made them want to book to go more places if they could afford it.

    Easy Jet is know for low cost flights but it all began in 1994, it started with 70 people and the company was based in London. With in the first year of Easy Jet reportedly carried 40,000 passengers.

    In the UK the most popular places to travel since 1996-2016 is France and Spain, The holidays to Spain have been increasing every year by 87% but France has not been and now are the fewer countries people go on holiday to. Germany is also in the top 10 that are popular for holiday makers this might be because of older generations living there and people want to see the sites. Two holiday destination that are no longer in top 10 are Belgium and Turkey.

The ask cloud caused the largest air-traffic shutdown since World War 2. 107,000 flights were cancelled over an eight day period, roughly ten million passengers.

Over the years it has also become easier to book a trip for a weekend because online shows deals which make it easier to book.

Most foreign visitors saw a total number of visitors drop from 9 million in 2011 to 5.4 million in 2016. The votes over the last two years have increased 2.8% for people voting

Visitor number from the UK dropped to 47,000 in 2018 from high of 186,000 in 1996 and the total number of foreign visitors drop 9 million in 2011 to 5.4 million in 2016.
