Christopher Columbus Finding America
Columbus left Spain on August 3rd to discover other parts of the world. He was hoping to find Asia. He also proved the world was round by coming back in the east. -
Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution began around 1760 and ended around 1840. This was the time period when Americans were creating machines to make quicker and efficient tools ( cars, assembly lines etc. ). -
Boston Tea Party
The colonists refused to pay taxes including a tax on tea. As a rebelliance, the colonists dumped the tea into the harbor. -
Railroads
Railroads were being made to help get to the other side of the country quickly. They helped update transportation greatly and sped it up. -
Missouri Compromise
The Missouri Compromise was a compromise to add Missouri ( a slave state) and Maine ( a free state) to keep the balance between the free nd slave states, so no part had control of the senate. It also started the end and equality to slavery. -
Making of First Car
Henry Ford changes the way of transportation by introducing the first and most common, Model T car. -
Women Earn the Right to Vote
The 19th amendment gives all women the right to vote. Also, this starts to make everyone an equal no matter what race, gender, religion etc. -
Brown vs. Board of Education
The government recognizes that segregated schools for white and black people is unconstitutional. This was a success in the Civil Rights Movement. -

Terrorists hi-jack planes and send them into the twin towers in New York City,the pentagon, and attempted to send one into the White House, but failed and the plane crashed into a field. -
Louis and Clark Expedition
After recieving the Louisiana Purchase, Lewis and Clark were sent to explore the land to the west. Also known as the Corps of Discovery.
