    -may use two-word phrases
    -identifies objects by pointing when requested
    -refers to self by name when asked
    -says "no" more often than any other word

    -runs without falling often
    -walks up annd down stairs with help
    -loves to run, jump, and climb
    -hangs from bar, grasping with hands
    -sits on floor from standing position quite easily

    -holds two objects in hand easily
    -holds container in one hand, puts small objects into it with other hand, then dumps the object out
    -uses one hand more than the other

    is able to ask for things using simple words

    -shows increaded coordination and smoother hand and finger movements
    -can open screw-type closures
    -holds crayon with thumb and fingers

    -refers to self by nane; then learns to use pronouns

    -improves motor skills as torso lengthens and baby fat begins to disappear
    -kicks ball forward
    -climbs on jungle gym with fair amount of ease
    -climbs everywhere indoors, even in forbidden places
    -enjoys running but is unable to measure sudden stops. May collide with other people or obstacles
    ~Small Motor Skills
    -opens doors by turning knobs
    -can carefully turn pages of book one page at a time
    -likes to take jar lids off and screw them back on
