    Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England to Robert Waring Darwin and Savannah Wedgewood. Charles spends the majority of his childhood like many others with family, taking trips, and attending school.

    Publishing the Origin of Species
    Charles Darwin publishes the book Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life. In the book Darwin describes the findings he made during his voyage on the HMS Beagle to the Galapagos Islands. In this Charles Darwin made a paradigm shift in that he strayed away from the common concepts that were accepted by the Naturalist community. This concept that he created was coined as the Theory of Evolution.

    Charles Darwin in his 6 versions of Origin of Species explains that his Theory of Evolution. This theory states that “natural selection is the process by which organisms change over time as a result of changes in physical or behavioral traits. Changes that allow an organism to better adapt to its environment will help it survive and have more young” Boiled down often into survival of the fittest or the strong will survive the weak will perish.
