    Two men named J. Bruce Ismay and Lord Pirrie had a relaxing dinner over coffe and cigars. During this dinner they had talked about making 3 real titanic ocean liners. Their goal was to give the White Star Line a competitive edge in the Atlantic passenger trade with several gicantic ships whose accomidations would be the last word in comfort and elegence.

    This was the big day, the axciting day, the day that would be in all the news papers, it was the day that the tianic would take off on her first voyage. Bands played, and people came from miles around to see this great wonder of the sea.

    The first two messages about iceburgs were recieved. The radio room worker MR. Harold Bride took the second message to the captain. "It's from the Carolina sir, she is reporting iceburgs and pack ice ahead." said the workman. The captian took the note and pinned it to the message board. Bride thought that the captain had seemed quite unconcerned by the message, but hey what could little floating iceburgs do to this huge unsinkable ship.

    The rest of the day passed quietly. at 7:30p.m the radio room recieved three ice warnings. Harold took the message up to the bridge ans it was recieved. Captian Smith was having dinner at the time so, the message was never recieved by him. Around 11:30 an message from the Califonian was recieved saying that it was trapped in a feild of ice about 19 miles ahead.The message was ignored. At 11:40 an ice burg was spotted. the ship quikly turned and the work men had thought they'd missed but had not

  • The Start of the Sink

    it was now around 12:00 a.m when passengers were awakend. The smooth sound of the engines had stoped, there was a little pull in the stop. Many passengers had asked what had happened and they were told that it was all fine.First class children were out on the deck playing with ice chunks- at first it was all ufn and games.

    At first people started to talk like it was all fine but when people started noticing the worried and panicing work men, it all changed. The life boats came out, the captain was panicing, and more and more families came out on the deck. 1:25 am - People now knew that the unsinkable boat was now sinking.

    The band played classic music to calm the panicing people. Woman and children were being rushed into the life boats. The sad thing about this was there was not enough life boats for even 3/4 of the people on board and they wernt even filling the life boats completely.

    THe boat sunk faster and was allmost under water and the captain had finally released the workmen from their job. They had done all that they coukd do. All the life boats were gone, the 3rd class passengers and some 2nd class passengers had already had their rude welcome to the icy cold water and death. The band stopped playing and htere was a gastly silence. By 2:00 a.m the Titanic had had its last breath and sadly sunk.
