The wreck of the titan was about a ship that sunk because of a ice burg the exact thing that happened to the Titanic 14 years later. Morgan Robertson wrote this.
-
Two men began making plans for the ship. Bruce Ismay and Lord Pirre started making plans for this ship and two others. Then they started to build.
-
The hull of the Titanic was launched at the Harland & Wolff shipyards in Belfast, Irland before a cheering crowd of 100,000 people.
-
The first iceburg warning was sent on a sunday morning the 4th day on the Titanics maiden voage.
-
Two more iceburg messages came at around lunch time but they only had time for one of them to get to the bridge.
-
At 7:30pm the radio room got three more iceburg warnings from ships. One was from the Californian Reporting three large iceburgs.
-
The captain excused himself from dinner and went up to the bridge and talked to the officers about how hard it is to spot iceburgs on the cold, calm, sea. He told them to keep a good look out.
-
The captain went down to his room got his pajamas on and got ready for bed at around 11:00pm.
-
At around 11;40pm the lookout spotted the iceburg. It was right in front of them so they rang the bell and picked up the telephone and said iceburg straight ahead. They hit the iceburg.
-
20 minuets after the crash things for Captain Smith looked very bad. He and the ships builder had made a rapid tour of the lower decks to inspect damage. the mail room was filling with water and sack s of mail were floating. Water was also going into foward holds and 2 boiler rooms.
-
The Captain told the radio operator to send for assistance. 5 minuets later he asked him what he was sending he said CQD. The Captain told heto send SOS the new signal that was coming into use.
-
The Captain told them to start loading thelifeboats at 12:30pm. Women and children first. Men last. The Titanic was well notecably down.
-
The bow was well down in the water. People weere beginning to notice. The radio operators were sending the messages fast.
-
There were still 1500 people on the ship all the lifeboats were now away. they were bunching together on the top decks for warmth. The back was down in the water.
-
The Titanic sank with over 1000 people on it. Many died on it many died in the water because there wasnt enough lifeboats and in the first couple there was only like 40 when you can fit 65 people.
-
The passengers arrive to the boat They are going to NEW yORK.
-
At noon the Titanic casted off. The whistles on her huge funnels were the biggest ever made.
