Trench warfare is a type of land warfare.Troops used trenchs to prtect them from emenys. Trench warfare caused Trench foot. Trench foot is an painful condition to the feet being in cold water or mud for a long time. It caused feet to blacken and death of the surface tissue. Soilders were not able to fight in those types of conditions. -
Sinking of Lusitania
The Lusitania was one of the naval blockades. Germany had submarine warfare against the United Kingdom. The ship was torpedoed and sunk. The event changed the way the public viewed Germany. -

The Zimmerman Note is also known as the Zimmermann Telegram. It was a secret telegram sent from a German Offical in Germany named Aurther Zimmerman to an Mexican Offical in Mexico. It proposed a military alliance between Germany and Mexico. Zimmerman wanted Mexico to become an ally of Germany. -

The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty. It ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It imposed punitive territorial, military and economic provisions on defeated Germany -
Women
The 19th amendment gave men and women equal voting rights. Women were now allowed to vote. During WWI a large amount of women were hired for jobs. Many jobs were hiring because a lot of men were gone fighting in the war. Also new jobs were created to support the war effort.
