I was inspired by my first grade teacher to want to become a teacher. The birth of my baby brother confirmed my desire to teach as I took it upon myself to teach him many things.

Completed one level of education and began another. On my way to becoming a teacher.

Prepared to teach the world.

Finally, my first teaching position with the agreement that I would take classes to get certified in special education. Team teaching 1-3 grades learning disabled students.

Moved back to Huntington. Teaching position 9-12th grades at Buffalo High School, Wayne County, WV.

Completed my master's degree in special education - learning disabilities.

Disenchanted with public education system, resigned full-time position in Wayne County and began substituting in Cabell County.

Began teaching my own daughter at kindergarten level.

Went to work at The Learning Station and received training to be an educational therapist with learning disabled students and adults.

Level 2 training to get certified to continue doing therapy at the Learning Station.

Took Level 3 training to complete all NILD classes.

Due to health issues, I went back to public school teaching, in special education again -- Barboursville Middle School.

Moved back to elementary special education.

Began classes to get multi-categorical special education certification.

Transferred to Barboursville Elementary/Davis Creek Elementary.

Transferred back to Spring Hill due to low numbers at Barboursville/Davis Creek.
