    The foundation stone was laid by Pope Alexander III in 1163.
    The interior of the cathedral is 157 feet (48 mtr) in plan, and the roof is 115 feet (35 mtr) high. Two massive early Gothic towers (1210–50) crown the western facade, which is divided into three stories, which are 223 feet (68 mtr) high.The cathedral’s three great rose windows alone retain their 13th-century glass. At the east end, the apse has large clerestory windows (added 1235–70) and is supported by single-arch flying buttresses.

It was originally intended as a temporary exhibit and was almost torn down.In 1910 French military used for wireless communication with ships in Atlantic ocean during World War I.The tower has around 120 antennas that broadcasts radio and television signals throughout the capital city. It is known as Marvel of precision and record speed project of that time.

    The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre at Sydney harbour in Sydney, New south wales, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings. It was designed by Danish architect Jorn Oberg Utzon but completed by an Australian architectural team headed up by Peter Hall.. The building covers 4.4 acres of land and is 183 m long and 120 m wide at its widest point. It is supported on 588 concrete piers sunk as much as 25 m (82 ft) below sea level.

    The colosseum known as the Flavian Amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. It was largest built at that time and fetch 50000 spectators. The construction was started at 70 AD and officially opened in 80 ADS nearly took around 8 years to build. It had 80 entries and exits out of which only 76 doors were meant for ordinary citizens and rest of other were used by intended emperors, politicians and religious authorities.     The construction of building started in 2004 and completed in 2009 but it was officially opened on 4th January ,2010. Burj Khalifa was designed by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The main contractors who executed the building project was Samsung C&T Corporation. It is the tallest skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates of 828 mts. Apart from the tallest building in the world, the total spent amount for the construction of building also strikes a height which was 1.5 billion US$.

    Sabarmati river has been considered as the lifeline of the city Ahmedabad. The Sabarmati Riverfront project is started in order to promote tourism, environmental preservation and social support to slum.This project was considered among the 100 top most innovative project in the world as the main aim was urban regeneration and environmental improvement initiative by leading international advisory firm KMPG. The work started in 2005 by AMC
    and completed on 16th Oct. 2013.
