    Their is two ways that we suspect vampires first appearing in ancient Egypt. The first is in the story "The Destruction of Mankind" Where the humans plot against the sun god Ra in retaliation Ra sends the god Hathor to lay waste to them. But then when blood firsrt touches her lips she is tranformed to Sekhmet Also there is evidence that they drank blood to extend their lif in the afterlife.

    The first real vampire legends were in ancient Greece with the tern 'lamia' which means blood drinkers, originally who were tormented and drank the blood of small children.
