Two-Party System (Modern Day Democrats & Republicans)
United States has two major political parties: the Democrats and the Republicans who share almost all the political power in the country to the present day. Modern day Democrats are working to make progress on issues like job creation, equal pay, education, health care, and clean energy. Modern day Republicans believe that the federal government should not play a big role in people's lives. Most Republicans favor lower taxes and less government spending on social programs.
