The UNSC releases a press statement again condemning the killing in Houla that’s over 100 people. In the attacks, they involved the killing of civilians by shooting and physical abuse, and a “government’s heavy weapons and the shell of tanks on a residential neighbourhood” and request the end of violence in all its forms. -
Adopts Resolution 2059 and Renewing
UNSC adopts resolution 2059, renewing the approval of UNSMIS ofr a “final period of 3 days,” be evidence that any further renewal would require a significant reduction in violence on the ground. -
France determined to end Syrian civil war!
France announces it will outline plans for a new push to the body’s Foreign-office deadlock, including urgent meeting of UNSC members to maintain high-level engagement, strengthen dialouge with the partners, (Russia and China paticular) and weel progress in resolving the Syria Crisis, to make the Syrian Uprising come to and end as soon as possible. -
France said wouldn't renew the approval
France’s ambassafor, Gerard Araurd, saya that the UNSC would not renew the approval of UNSMIS because the conditions to keep the mission in Syria were not achieved to the UN and the president of the UNSC. The UN will keep being on the ground with a association office in Damascus. -
