    Henry Parkes supported the idea of federation. he called the colonies governments to unite and create a national government. the speech pointed out that he was prepared to cooperate on behalf of NSW. With all the colonies help the managed to move towards federation. All the premiers agreed to have a Federal conference which will be held in 1890.

    In Melbourne they had a Federal conference Parkes made a toast to a unite Australia indicating a regular British heritage. They agreed to a national meeting to consider some federal rules.
  • March 1891

    An essential convention was met to look over resolution prepared by Henry Parkes (chairman). These resolutions included proposals for the powers of the colony.
  • 1892

    Edmund Barton made a mission visit to Riverina NWS. As a result that 15 Federation leagues were formed in the Riverina communities.

    An Australian Federation AFL League was formed in Sydney.

    AFL of Vic arranged a hung federation meeting at Melbourne town hall addressed by the premiers of VIC, NWS AND SA. An AFL of SA was formed in the same year.

    Sir Henry Parkes passed away.
  • 17th of September 1900

    Queen Victoria proclaimed that the commonwealth of AUS, involving all 6 colonies would come to an existence on the 1st of January 1901
  • 1st of January 1901

    Australia became a federation on 1 January 1901 when the British Parliament came and gave them a letter allowing the six colonies to govern their own. An the Commonwealth of Australia was born.
  • 3rd of September 1901

    Australia's new flag was risen for the first time. There was 32 823 entries in it's design competition.
