Reading all of my teadhers comments has been a very interesting experince and noticing that as a human being we are assessed all our life....one way or another.

Found my report card for swimming lessons.This also shows that we are assessed in many areas of our lives.

I found a short paragraph that I had written for the schools newpaper. It has been fun going down memory lane.

I do not really have anything from high school, but from what I remember it was very traditional. I did not do any presentations just written exams.

Grad year!!!!!!!! The only classes that I really enjoyed were my art classes. I received a scholarship to go to design school.

I loved it. Here we were evaluated on projects......a totally different experience. The assessment was more project based.

A lot of project based assessment. At the end of the program we had to create our own line of clothing. From start to finish.

Here is a letter I received regarding my progress in the major.

I started working at the Centro Cultural and this is where my teaching career. Here I was introduced to assessement. I did not have to prepare exams but I had to give feedback. We received many trainings on how to provide feedback and error correction in the EFL classroom.

I worked as a teacher trainer for 5 years. I was only teaching one course but I had the opportunity to prepare trainings for teachers and assess other teachers teaching.

After coming to Costa Rica, I decided to go back to school and get my degrees in English teaching. I really enjoyed this learning process. I think that some of the assessment was traditional mixed with non-traditional.

I had the opportunity to evaluate the programs that were being implemented at the CCCN. I had to collect feedback from students and teachers and pass the information on to the curriclum development team.

After getting my BA, I decided to get my Master´s degree. The assessment at this level was project based. We had to develop projects and at the end, we had to write a thesis and present to a panel of judges.

I got the opportunity to work at several universities. I began to do more project based assessment with my students and learned how to prepare exams.

I was so happy to be hired at UTN. I think here I have really had the chance to grow as a teacher. I have had more opportunities to work with other teachers in order to grow as a teacher in many areas.

I have been taking the different courses at UTN. I think that as a teacher and human being we never stop learning.
