  • Charles Darwin

    Charles Darwin
"Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection is the foundation upon which modern evolutionary theory is built. The theory was outlined in Darwin’s seminal work On the Origin of Species, published in 1859. "(Desmond,2020). Although it was heavily criticized and rejected at the time, scientist would often look to his work in the future to further the study of evolution. Adrian J. • Paul Oppenheim

    Paul Oppenheim
Oppenheim earned his doctorate in chemistry and philosophy. He was a close friend to Albert Einstein as well. "In the 1920s, Oppenheim started to publish on the natural order of the sciences, and this topic continued to occupy him throughout his career. This framework was meant to help elucidate the relationship between these disciplines, and to place notions such as “Gestalt” or “type” within a philosophical reconstruction of the sciences."(Ziche,2013).
  • Werner Heisenberg

    Werner Heisenberg
"Werner Heisenberg discovered the uncertainty principle, which states that the position and the momentum of an object cannot both be known exactly. The combined uncertainty for position and momentum is equal to or greater than h/(4π), where h is Planck’s constant, and thus is significant only for very small objects like atoms or subatomic particles."(Beyler,2020). best known for being a brilliant Quantum Mechanics scientist and Nobel Prize winner in 1932.
  • Hans Reichenbach

    Hans Reichenbach
"Philosopher and educator who was a leading representative of the Vienna Circle and founder of the Berlin school of logical positivism, a movement that viewed logical statements as revealing only the basic structure of a priori mental categories and language. He contributed significantly to logical interpretations of probability theories, theories of induction, and the philosophical bases of science."
