I chose this because this is when the very first of computers came out. -

It's not a computer but this helped the history of computers.
I chose this because the transitor was a huge part of the making of computers. -
ERMA and MICR
The first bank computer which was used to read checks.
I chose this because it helped us by making it easier to read checks. This would soon lead to credit cards. Eventually shopping online. -
NASA
NASA launches TIROS, the first weather satellite into space.
I chose this because it gave us a new way to collect data about wheather and it gave us huge advantages. -
Computer Mouse & Windows
Nicknamed the mouse because the tail came out the end.
I chose this because the mouse is truly a huge part of a computer. -
UCLA
UCLA puts out a press release introducing the public to the Internet.
I chose this beecause the date gives us the first moment when we were introduced to the internet internationally. -
The "Floppy" Disk
It was nicknamed the "Floppy" for its flexibility.
I chose this because it gives us a background on how much our technology has advanced. -
ETHERNET && PALC
Robert McCalfe creates the Ethernet at the PALC.
I chose this because it was nice knowing where it was created especially since most of us have an Ethernet in our homes. -
Google
Google says that they're more than 8 million people on web. More than 40 times this amount is said to be held in the "deep web" that which is accesible by searchable database.
I chose this because I wanted to show people how many of us are on the internet and how many of us use the web. -
Sixth Sense
New invention; A new computer called the 6th sense and a retinal implant for the blind.
I chose this because I thought it was cool how we can give the blind a second chance.
