Monroe Doctrine
The Monroe Doctrine is important because it warned European nations that the United States would not tolerate further colonization or puppet monarchs and was the final branching of the US from England. President James first mentioned the doctrine at the 7th annual State of the Union Adress to Congress at the Capitol Hill in Washigton. The Monroe Doctrine effected both North and South America, Europe, and Latin America. -
Hawaiian Annexation
The Hawaiian Annexation was important because it extended U.S. territory into the Pacific, helped the conomy, and helped the United States rise as a Pacific power. This took place in Hawaii and effected the United States, Hawaii, France, and Great Britian. -

The NAACP was important because it was allowed Africian Americans to have political, educational, social, and economic equality, a step in the right direction for the civil rights movement. This took place in Baltimore, Maryland and effected all citizens, economy, and the government. -
16th Amendment
The 16th Amendment was important because it allowed the fedral government to collect taxes and with this it funded to keep an army, build roads and bridges, enforce laws and carry out other important duties. This took place in the US and effected the federal government, citizens employed, construction workers, citizens in the army. -
17th Amendment
The 17th Amendment was important because it changed the way United States Senators are elected to Congress. This took place in Washington DC and it effected future senators, the United States, and the people. -
Federal Reserve Act
The Federal Reserve Act was important because it made sure that currency wouldn’t become “inelastic” and the US wouldn’t have a finacial crisis occur again like the one in 1907. This took place in the US and it effected congress, the economy, citizens, and banks. -
Federal Trade Commission
The Federal Trade Commission was important because it helped to prevent unfair methods of competition in commerce. It took place in the United States and effected businesses, consumers, the government, and the economy. -
“Lusitania”
The “Lusitania” was important because after it sank and so many innocent civilian lives were lost that’s when the US entered World War I. This took place 11 miles off the coast of Ireland and effected Britian, Germany, and the United States. -
NWP
The NWP was important because it formed to fight women’s suffrage. It took place in the United States and effected citizens, women, and the government. -
Zimmerman Telegram
The Zimmerman Telegram was important because it was interfered before getting to Mexico where they would end up fighting against the United States on the German side. This took place in Britian where the telegram was encrypted and effected the United States, Germany, Britian, and Mexico. -

The Espionage Act was important because it helped keep the US and their war secrets safe from the enemies. This took place in the United States and effected the US, citizens, soilders, and spies. -

The Fourteen Points were important because they peace principles that would help make peace negotiations to end World War I. This took place in the United States and affected the United States, the Allies, and the Axis. -

The National War Labor Board was important because it helped desolve disputes in labor during wartime production. It took place in Washington, DC and effected businesses, employees, the government, soilders, and other citizens in the war. -

Volstead Act
The Volstead Act was important because it prohibited the production and sale of alcohol. By doing this it decreased crime and corruption, solve social problems, reduce the tax burden created by prisons and poorhouses, and improve health and hygiene in America. The Harlem Renissance was important because it was a turning point in black cultural history and gave writers and artists gain control over the repersentation of black culture. The Treaty of Versailles were important because it was the peace treaty that ended World War I. It took place in Paris, France and effected the Allies and Axis powers and the whole world. -
League of Nations
The League of Nations was important because it was the first worldwide intergovernmental orginization that was made to hold world peace. It took place in Switzerland and effected Great Britain, France, Japan, and Italy, the United States. -

Dawes Plan was important because it resolved the issue of World War I reparations that Germany had to pay and ended a European diplomacy. This took place in Paris, France and effected Germany, the US, and France. -
