    Invention of writing

    On October 12, 1492, a group of Spaniards led by the Italian Christopher Columbus arrived on an island called Guanahaní after crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Although they thought they were in the Indies (in Asia), they had actually discovered a new continent: America.

    Prehistory.

    BEGAN: 2.5 MILLION YEARS AGO.
    FINISH: INVENTION OF WRITTEN HISTORY.
    It has two stages: The Stone Age and The Metal Age.

    Middle Ages.

    BEGAN: FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE.
    FINISH: 15th CENTURY. DISCOVERY OF AMERICA (1492).
    TIME OF WAR BETWEEN KINGDOMS. PEOPLE BUILT CASTLES TO DEFEND THE TERRITORY.

    The black plague

    The black plague, bubonic plague or black death (Black Death), caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis, has been one of the most devastating pandemics in human history. It hit Europe in the 14th century and peaked between 1347 and 1353, killing more than a third of Europe's population.

  • Invention of the wheel

    The wheel is considered one of the most important inventions in the development of the human being. It was invented at the end of the Neolithic period, in the 5th millennium BC. The first wheels were simple discs with a hole in the middle. Its main use was for the art of pottery.
