Kuhn’s first major work was viewed through his first book: Copernican. This book mainly ties in with the revolution of astronomy and Kuhn announcing that Aristotle and his science was true and genuine science; it also talks about the scientists of the age that supported Ptolemy’s system, only worked with the traditions during those times and that Copernicus had his ways of abandoning the common ways of Ptolemy’s system (Bird 2018). -
THE STRUCTURE OF SCIENTIFIC REVOLUTIONS
Kuhn creates a book that not only is still debated, but is also widely used by so many and is even set as required reading in some classes today. This book created a new way of thinking in the scientific,business, and politics. Godfrey mentions that the way Kuhn displayed his thoughts changes the way of previous thought as like empiricist and destroys the thought of traditional knowledge and philosophical theories do not have any sort of connection with the actual scientific behaviors (2003) -
PARADIGM SHIFT
Kuhn has a concept called, the paradigm shift. This concept shows a step-by-step process of how a theory is born or how it is changed within the scientific fields. It is basically that scientists encounter so many anomalies or questions that they are forced to try to view it in a different way without changing the base concept (revolutionize). Then the scientists come together to establish a new theory that satisfies what is observed and fits the mathematical equations. (Godfrey 2003). -
