Because he is afraid to go back to Saint-Eustache, Kalman has to go to Montcorbeau to trade. He comes back with many gifts from Marie-France's uncle including a stone cabin on a field in Montcorbeau.

Pere Raoul captures the Embereks and puts them in the dungeon.

The Embereks are able to escape the dungeon and free Muno while escaping.

While traveling to Montcorbeau, Laszlo and his family have to fight with the other wolves against Pere Raoul and his men. In the end, three wolves and Gizi died. Pere Raoul also died.

The Embereks and Muno have to run away to Montcorbeau. They take their sheep with them too.
