  • The death of Boromir

    After trying to steal the one ring from Frodo the followership is attacked by orcs and Boromirs dies trying to protect Merry and Piipen

  • Aragorn,Legolas, and gimli chase after the orcs, carrying Merry and Pippin, into Rohan

    They do this without rest for several days and they also meet Eomer, the nephew of the king of Rohan.

  • Eomer tells the trio that he killed the orcs and the hobbits

    The hobbits were not killed as they ran into Fangorn Forest where they met Gandalf the White. Merry and Pippen then go with Treebeard, an Ent.

  • The Ents bring Merry and Pippen to Isengard.

    The Ents are mad over the fact that Saruman is cutting down the forest to fuel the fires for the Orc's furnace for their weapons

  • Gandalf meets the trio and go to Edoras, the capital of Rohan.

    The trio learns that Merry and Pipen are safe and they find out that Theoden, the king of Rohan, is under a spell, and being controlled by Grima Wormtongue.

  • Gandrof breaks Grima's spell

    Grima is thrown out of Edoras and Theoden tells him if he comes he will be killed

  • Gandalf and the trio explain to Theoden that his people are endanger because Sarumon is sending a great army of orcs into Rohan.

    The trio goes with Theoden and his people to Hornburg, a massive fortress. Gandalf goes north in search of Erkenbrand to bring reinforcements.

  • The Orcs attack the Hornburg

    The Orcs outnumber the people of Rohan but the people do their best and keep at bay until dawn when Gandalf arrived with reinforcements.

  • The trio, Theoden, Eomer, and Gandalf go to Isengard.

    They reunited with Merry and Pippin and find out that Isengard has been flooded and overran by Ents

  • Pippin makes the mistake of looking into the palantiri and seen by Sauron

    Gandalf believes Sauron will come after Pippen now so he leaves with him to Minas Tirith.

  • Saruman and Wormtongue are found hidding.

    Gandolf gives Saruman the option to repent his actions but he refuses. Gandolf throws him out of the order of the wizards and banishes him. Wormtongue throws a palantiri, a glass orb used by Saruman to contact Sauron.

  • Frodo and Sam catch Gollum following them.

    Sam does not like or trust Gollum at all, but Gollum receives pity for Frodo. Gollum promises to led them to a secret entrance into Mordor.

  • Frodo, Sam, and Gollum head into Ithilien

    They are capture by Faramir, Boromir's brother. Frodo tells him that Boromir is dead and they are on their way to destory the ring.

  • Gollum betrays Frodo and Sam.

    He leads them to Shelob, a giant spider women, and attacks Frodo. Sam decides to take on the quest by himself.

  • Orcs find Frodo's body.

    Sam hides and overhears that Frodo is not dead just unconscious.
