There would be a major difference than what it is today to what it wouldv'e been.

    Dias had went on a voyage. The purpose of his voyage was to find the lands of Prester John. While out at sea, him and his crew died from a horrible storm, though he did manage to see the Stormy Cape. This was important because he was the first European to see the Stormy Cape. He was also the first European to sail around the Southern tip of Africa.

    Ponce De Leon explores Florida
    Ponce De Leon was an Explorer with Christopher Columbus. He was with Columbus on his second voyage. While on the voyage, he had found an island. For a while, they stayed there and then left. When they returned to spain, the king told them to go back and colonize the island. This was important because this island later became Puerto Rico and he also founded Florida.

    King Henry had married his dead brothers wife "Catherine of aragon". He wanted to have a baby boy with her but things weren't going to good. He then tried to divorce her because she had to many miscarriages. This was important because when he found out he couldn't get a divorce, he pulled England from under the authority of Roman Catholic church. That act had changed england.

    King Henry had married a woman named Anne Boleyn. After a few years of marriage he had acused her of cheating with another man. Therefore, he took Anne to court and she was found guilty. Her consequence was to get beheaded. Anne Boleyn was important because she gave birth to Queen Elizabeth and started the English reformation.

    KIng Henry was having an affair with a woman named Jane Seymore. At the time, Anne Boleyn was still around. During their affair, jane had gotten pregnant. It was a baby boy. This event was important because she was the first and only wife to give him a son.

    On September 8, 1565, Pedro Mendez landed on the shore that is now called Matazas Bay. He had claimed that place. The shore later became known as St. Augustine, Florida. This event was important because Since Ponce De Leon landed there in 1513, the land has been inhabited ever since.

    Delaware was founded by Peter Minuit. He was dutch and he wanted to make a company there. Delaware had been apart of Pennsylvania until 1703. It was also governed by Pennsylvania until the Revolutionary War. This was important because Delaware was the first state of the U.S

    The French and Indian War lasted for 7 years. That is why it's also known as the Seven Years of War. Francis expansion had caused conflict between the British and French. This was important because it made the Britsih decide to tax colonies because of the war which caused the American Revolution.

    The Treaty of Paris had officilly ended the French and Indian War. It took seven years. When the treaty was officially signed, lots of things changed. The British had gained the area west of the 13 British Colonies to the Mississippi River. This event was important because it ended the French and Indian War.

    The Sugar Act was also known as "The American Revenue". It was a law to stop the smuggling of sugar and molasses in the colonies. The Sugar act was important because if the americans would have never protested the Sugar Act, the world would be totally different from what it is today.

This act was important because it Showed the British that the colonies of America were going to do what it took to to be independent rom them.

    In the Battle of Yorktown there were two armies, the American and French. The battle had started when George Washington had found out that Lord Charles Corn Wallis was camped in Yorktown,Va. The Americans had outnumbered the French in soldiers also. This battle was important because it had finally made the British give up and Surrender.

    Valley Forge is where the American Continental Camped for a year. It is said that while there, the army had actually been trained and had become a fighting unit. The reason they camped there is because George Washington thought that if they were to be attacked that it was a good place to defend if attacked. This event was important because after the long experience at Valley Forge, the army was more stronger, prouder and more confident then what they were.

    The Treaty of Paris had ended the Revolutionary War. There was five members of which who negotiated the treaty. Two of them were Ben Franklin and John Adams. This was important because it had ended the Revolutionary War.

    This war had lasted for about 3 years. The U.S had declared war against Britain. The war was caused by the british attempts to restrict U.S trade. This event was important because the U.S had proved to the world that they were an Independent Nation by fighting the British to a stand still

    The Oregon Trail was the key route to use when pioneers were on their way to the west. The Oregon Trail covers over 2,170 miles. Today if you were to walk or drive those miles, you would pass through Missouri, kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon. This trail was important because this is the way people got jobs, traded goods, got away from people, etc...

    In 1838, Andrew Jackson had forced the Cherokee Nation to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River. The reason it is called the Trail of Tears is because of the Devastating that happened there. This event was important because this showed us how strong, cruel and powerful the government could be.

    The fighting had began on March 5, for the Alamo. This war was a very crucial one for the Texans. All the Texans wanted was Independence. After a long day of war, the Mexicans claimed victory. This event was important because afterwards, the Texans had captured Santa Anna and forced him to sign a Declaration of Independence for the Texans

    The first piece of Gold was found in January 1848. Nobody really rushed over though because nobody had proof. Four months later, another piece of gold was found by Sam Brannan. After the discovery, about 30,000 people had showed up. San Francisco's population aslo grew. This event was important because if the gold would've never been found, California would probably be deserted today.

    The compromise of 1850 was a series of bills. The goal of the compromise of 1850 was to deal with the spread of slavery. One of the bills was that California was entered in as a free state. Another bill was the fugitive slave law. The fugitive slave Law was one of the most effective bills. Basically what the fugitive slave Law was is if a person found a slave, he or she had to return that slave for a reward. This event was important because it delayed the start of the Civil War until 1861.

    In June 1863, Ulysses S. Grants Army had invested and entrapped the city of Vicksburg under charge of Gen. John Pemberton. On July 4, Vicksburg surrendered. With the loss of Vicksburg and his army, the Confederacy was split in half. This also boosted Ulysses S. Grant's reputation. This event was important because this was one of the most brilliant military campaigns of the war.

    The battle of Gettysburg happened on July 1, 1863. After Gen. Robert E. Lee claimed a victory over the Union forces, he marched his army into Pennsylvania. On July 1, his army had clashed with the Union Army of the Potomac, led by Gen. George G. Meade. The battle lasted for three days. Lee had lost the battle. This event was a important because it was the very most important engagement of the American Civil War.

    On April 14, 1865, Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes booth. John Wilkes Booth was a famous actor and a Confederate sympathizer. The attack had came only five days after Gen. Robert E Lee surrendered his army at Appomattox court house, which ended the Civil War. Lincoln was also at a play at the time of the attack. This event was important because this was the first assassination of a U.S president.
