    Awarding the Delegates and the Primary Election
    In the Democratic Party, the percentage each candidate is awarded is a representation of the number of people who votes for the candidate. In the Republican Party, it is decided if the "winner take all method " or the "proportional method" should be used. In a Primary Election, registered voters cast a vote in a secret ballet, just as in a general election. Registered Republicans can only vote in the Republican Primary and the registered Democrats can only vote in the Democratic Primary.

    The Republican National Convention will be held July 28th-21st before the general election. During this time, it will be decided amongst Republican delegates which Republican candidate will run for the general election.

    The Democratic Convention will be held July 25th-28th prior to the general election. Here, it will be decided amongst Democratic delegates will decide which Democratic Candidate will run in the general election.
  • The General Election

    The General Election
    On November 8th, the general election will be held amongst citizens of the United States. Electoral College voters cast their vote for who they want. These voters can vote against the majority of the state or vote the same way the state does.
