About 2,300 British soldiers cleared the hill from the Americans. It cost about 40% of the Britain assault force, making it more than a moral victory to the Americans.

Congress recommended the colonies to form their own governments, thus creating the Deceleration of Independence. We celebrate that event on the 4th of July.
