They copied the United States in the order of the house of representatives. The order was that in the House of Representatives the number of representatives for each state was determined by the number of people in that state. But in the Senate house everyone was to have the same amount of representatives sent. -

In 1896, 27th of April, Henry Parkes (a famous politician) died was named as the father of federation. -

In the year 1900, 5 representatives travelled to London to get the approval for the draft constitution. Then the Commonwealth of Australia constitution act was passed by the British parliament and was signed by Queen Victoria on the 9th of July. -
