5 colonists were killed because the Soldiers were being harassed by a mob of people. After this Paul Revere painted a picture making the British look like bad people. The first death of the Boston Massacre was a man named Crispus Attucks. -

Tea Act
The British taxed the colonists for tea and they could only buy their tea from Britain. The British could also not buy their tea from anywhere else like the North Indian tea company. This eventually led to the Boston Tea Party. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists were mad because they were being taxed for tea so the Sons of Liberty, which were led by Samuel Adams, got aboard on the ships and disguised as Indians. Once they were on the ship, they got all the boxes of tea on the ship which cost the British a lot of money. Britain went on to pass the Intolerable acts after this. -
Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts (also known as the Coercive Acts) was a punishment for The Boston Tea Party. Britain closed the Massachusetts Bay. The Intolerable acts made more people rebel against the British law. This blocked trades with Boston so eventually, this lead to the revolutionary war. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
The British Marched into Lexington and Concord and their intention was to suppress the possibility for the colonists to rebel. Instead, this was the first battle of the Revolutionary War. -
Olive Branch Petition
The final attempt to prevent war. It emphasized their loyalty to the king and their rights as British citizens.
