    In 1860 there were 6 British colonies living in Australia. These colonies were: Victoria, Western Australia, South Austrlia, Queensland, New south Wales and Tasmania.

    Tenterfield Adress called the colonies together to unite and create one new country with a great new government system

    The Australasian covention was held in sydney to discuss the commonwelth of the country

    A Refredum was held so that the people in the colinies could vote for a leader

    Yass- Canberra option made by the commonwealth parliment went into action

    Commonwealth parliment sat in the new parliment house in canberra
