The man and his boy travel along this deserted road. As they walk they collect oil for the lamp they have for the nights. The grocery cart that they push carrys all of their belongings. THey look at the road in front of them to see if it is safe. -

Pages 16-26 (282) THe man and the boy stop at a house along the way and fix the wheel of the cart. They stop at another house and a supermarket and they get blankets and look for a new cart. Then they decided to take a visit to the father's old house. -

The man and the boy reach the coast. They find a wrecked ship just off the shore. The man swims out to the ship to find supplies. After multiple journeys the man comes back to his son sleeping and everything they had was taken away. They get everything back and then head to the woods. After a long battle the father dies.
