    The Proclomation of 1763
    When the French and Indian War ened in 1763, the colonist wanted something to celebrate by. The King of England and his coulcil, showed the document to the Indians so that the Indians could make peace with the colonist.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    In 1764, Parliment passed a different version of the Sugar and Molasses act. The Sugar and Molasses act was about to expire and that caused people to have to pay a high tax per gallon of molasses. When they passed the Sugar Act on April 5, 1764, they reduced the taxation on sugar and molasses.

    The Declaratory Act
    This act made it so that the Majesty's in the Americas, were more dependent and not relying of the Parliment of England. It said that the votes, orders, and other decisions were to be make by the American Colonists and not by the Parliment. It also said that the Parliment could make or suggest laws that could come into play if they needed to be.

    Boston Non-Importation Agreement
    In the Boston Non-Importation Agreement that took place on August 1, 1768, they said that people could only trade stuff from certain places. It said that they could not send or import any thing to or from Great Britain. It also said that they could not import andy merchandise either except, salts, coal, fishing line and hooks, and card wire.

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was between a patriot mob and British Soldiers. It was a street fight that had began whe the patriots started to throw things like snowballs, sticks, and stones. several colonist were killed during the fight.
  • The Gaspee Affair

    The Gaspee Affair
    A vessel that had just come out of Newport was on its way to Providence, when the captain said that the HMS Gaspee had hit shallow waters. When the news reached Providence, John Brown led a group of 55 men to attack the ship. They surrounded the ship and captured the entire crew and all of the passengers. They were brought to the shore and were forced to watch as they took all the posessions off the Gaspee and burned it. It burned in a place that is now known as Gaspee Point.

    The Boston Tea Party
    Thomas Hutchinson let 3 ships that had tea on them to enter the Boton Harbor. Before the tax collectors could collect tax, townspeople raded the ships and threw 342 crates of tea into te water. The offenderes were disguised as Native Americans so they could not be captured or identified.
  • Galloway's Plan

    Gallaway's Plan was made by Joseph Gallaway who lived in Pennsylvania. The plan was a compromise for the colonist and Great Britain. It said tha both would get a a grand council to represent them. When it came to them to vote, it lost 6 to 5.
  • Paul Reveres Ride

    Paul Reveres Ride
    Paul Revere was hired by the Massachusetts Commitee of Safety as a person to ride a horse who would cary the news. He was sent by Hoseph Warren to go to Lexington to warn them that the British troops were coming to arrest people. He stopped at each house along the way to warn the people about the British.
  • The Battle Of Lexington and Concord

    The Battle Of Lexington and Concord
    British troops marched from Boston to Concord to seize the people. Paul Revere and others sounded an alarm for the people and the Redcoats went into action. The fighting started in Lexington due to a confrontation and the British retreated under fire.
